Glenmore House

Additions & Alterations

This architectural project involved the complete transformation of one of the oldest homes in Paddington, a historic two-storey sandstone cottage dating back to 1841, originally a former dairy. The renovation, led by architects Nobbs Radford and Interior Designer The Unlisted Collective, faced several challenges, but thanks to the expertise of skilled tradesmen, the project exceeded all expectations. The design masterfully integrates modern building techniques with the original convict-built sandstone structure, preserving the home’s historical charm while introducing contemporary elements.

A standout feature of the design is a beautiful sculpture staircase that elegantly flows through the centre of the house, serving as both a functional and artistic focal point. Natural light pours into the space, enhancing the connection between the interior and its surrounding environment. The combination of original sandstone and modern design elements ensures that this historic gem will remain one of Paddington’s standout properties for many years to come.
